New compact digital camera

Any tips ?  We need a new compact digital camera, the old one (Fuji Finepix) that was approx 7 - 8 years old died last January.  We have a ski holiday this Saturday (I know, leave it to the last minute) and want to pick something up that we can take with us.  Been into high street shop today, but still not near to what we should choose.  Bamboozled 

Any ideas, budget would be £100 - £150.

For Christmas we bought our boys the Sony Cybershot 10megapixel cameras for a around the £100 mark and they are producing some very nice images that are good enough quality to print A3.
