Title: Hedgehog lungworm

So, Maddie's wormcount has come back as having hedgehog lungworm.
The vet does not consider it very important,  as little research has been done so it probably isn't serious and gave me Prinovox. She knew nothing about it but will contact Liverpool University.
Having googled  it I can't work out if it's come from a hedgehog itself or slug/ snail carrier.
Anybody had experience of this or words of wisdom?

No knowledge or experience. Be interesting to know what your vet comes up with.
