Title: Good News
Post by: Dessie on April 29, 2004, 08:52:48 AM
Hi All

Sebastian went for his Booster and check up yesterday, and the Vet is over the moon with him and me because he's shed an amazing 8lbs.  He was just over 18 kilos when I took him in last time and now he is 14.5 kilos.  Maybe his 8lbs has gone to Douglas   Even with his Thyroid condition Sebastian leads a perfectly normal and very healthy and active life.

Proud Mummy - Dessie

Hi Annemie

He has half his normal biscuit's split into two meals with rice cakes added to help fill him up.  He does get 1 1/2 to 2 hours free running exercise a day as well though and swimming

Thank you for your advice, I will try it on Joris. Only the exercise is a problem because he is in a bad condition while he suffers DCM.

Hi Barb

I would say that it has probably taken just under 4 months for him to loose his 8lbs but we've got to keep it off now

Well done Dessie - I am trying to get one of my girls weight down too.

Are the rice cakes you mention especially for dogs or human food? - they sound very useful.
