Title: Squatting during season!
Post by: Magic Star on May 04, 2004, 10:10:11 AM
Hi all

Have noticed that Indie is squatting for a long time whilst having a wee wee, is this normal during a season?  She is walking slightly strange too :?

She is very swollen, so perhaps its just that, was just a bit concerned incase she has a water infection, as she is drinking more that usuall too :?

Hi Emma,

As far as I am aware Indie might be scent marking   alot of bitches scent mark when in season, squatting alot and only passing a little urine, to tempt the boys  :) I'm sure someone else might have other advice re the drinking alot.

Ruby started doing this just before she went into season and for some reason now still does sometimes even though she's now been spayed (a year ago).

I think Indie is further along in her season than Emma  first thought  :?

When Emma first noticed ,she was swollen then, and losing fresh red blood

Can anyone tell me if i,m wrong in thinking this.?  :?

MMM i'm not sure Barb...when I first noticed Buttys season she was swollen like a Baboon    and losing blood...although I had been keeping an eye on her...Buttys not the kind to mind me having a good nosey at her private benjamins    and I'm 100% positive I caught it on the first day  :?: so maybe Emma did to...I suppose the blood loss varies from dog to dog  :?:

Yep I was checking her every day, especially because of her behaviour with the teddy bears :?   I know I didn't miss anything as I was doing the tissue test
