Just wanted to say how sorry I am - that must be such a worry for you. The video will be so useful I'm sure. Our working cocker Bobby has just been diagnosed with epilepsy a few days ago but watching Bronte's seizure is wasn't the same as Bobby's because she was blinking, Bobby just goes completely still. Also hers seemed to last longer than Bobby's do. Good luck on Monday, please let us know how you get on. Hugs, Jan

Thanks Jan, this was the first time we managed to video Bronte, because unlike a usual seizure this really really feels like she is about to die in front of us, she just goes blue then limp. Up until the video I didn't see that she still blinks so I guess it will be useful to vets. She is fasting from food now but can have water and specialist apt is at 10.15am. I hope they are able to shed some light on the matter even if we don't get a concrete diagnosis this visit.

No news yet. They said it could be neurological in nature, an airway problem or a cardiac problem and they could not rule out epilepsy either. They have taken routine blood tests, arterial blood samples, Extensive Liver blood tests and a special one that detects heart damage . The Neurosurgeon saw her and her exam was normal. She has been referred to the cardiologist as she does have a small heart murmur so that needs investigating in case it is a problem. They have also spoke about doing a CT and MRI scan if she needs them and once passed fit by cardiologist as she will need a GA to have them and there is also the special moving xray. These will be considered depending on blood results. I should know more near end of week.

Well it sounds like they are being very thorough, which is a good thing.  It does mean you have longer to wait for news, which is not so good.   :bigarmhug:

Don't know any results yet, but she will be seeing the Cardiologist on Monday. They need to exclude heart problems before they do further testing as she will need a GA for both the CT scan and the MRI scan (guess that's why they are so expensive in comparision to humans paying privately).
