emergency vets with harley..he's been admitted...
« on: March 13, 2009, 12:36:39 PM »
hi everyone  :D..
that wil teach me to own 9 dogs..
i feel like i'm failing apart at the moment..and can really do with a shoulder to cry on..i'm sorry i can only just see to type this at present..
and i'm already worired about india who is going to the vets tonight...
and today being friday the 13th...i have just had to rush my harley to my vets as an emergency...
he just was'nt right..he was sitting funny..in pain..and roaching his back...
vets were waiting for me..and they ran all  tests..and have admitted him in..i just fell apart in the vets..as this is so sudden..but hes in terrible pain...
they immediately gave him morphin for his pain..
they checked his back feet reflexes..and felt for a slipped disk...
he then went on to say its internal...in his tummy..not sure what but the vets have said the following...a blockage... hepatitis...poision...or an internal organ could have a mass on it..to come on so sudden and be in so much pain...
i'm in pieces at present  :'(...
i have just had to sign a consent form..as they have choosen to admit harley there and then  :'(, as they said he is not right at all...he is also running a very high temp...
so i just have to sit and wait for news now....

they are going to run a full blood count, they are going to x-ray him and ultrasound his tummy...

i can't stop crying..i know he is now in the best place..but i feel awful for leaving him there...and i just don't know whats wrong with him...
please..please pray that he is ok...

and i'm so sorry to be a pain...
i'm so worried..as it was all so sudden  :'(...

love terri
x

So sorry to read this, but he's in the best place and the morphine will have chilled him out so he probably won't be fretting for you.

I hope and pray that you hear some good news very soon.

Lots of love  :luv: :luv: :luv: :luv: :luv: :luv: :luv:

Terri, you've got him to the vet as quickly as you could - I'm sure he's in the best place and will be looked after well  ;)  :luv:

No point saying don't worry as I know that's physically impossible - but keep strong and know that we're all here thinking of you and India and Harley  :luv: :luv: :luv:

So sorry to hear this. He's in the best place, they're already stopping the pain and hopefully they'll find the cause very shortly and be able to start sorting him out.

Aww, Terri, you poor thing.  He's in the best place possible, can't say don't worry as it is nigh on impossible in these situations.  Just try and be strong for your babies.  Take care, Sarah x
