How horrible for you both  :'(  Thinking of your and at least he's in the right place, and you've done the right thing taking him there.

A similar thing happened to one of my cockers a few years back it turned out to be Panceatitas the acute type, she was in the vets for 7 days but was fine and lived to a ripe old age. Thinking about you

I was going to suggest the same - our senior boy had similar symptoms a while ago and was diagnosed with Pancreatitis although he did not need to be hospitalised and is absolutely fine now (although he no longer has fatty treats as this is probably what triggered his attack). Hope Harley will be ok too :luv:

just a little update...
vets just phoned...harley bloods are normal...apart from showing very high white blood cell...vet not sure why...he also said something about pancreatitis ( hope thats how you spell it)..but there is a new test..but it takes two weeks to come back...which vet said would not help harley now...and apparentley pacreatitis is hard to diganose  ..but vet said he seems to be showing alot of the symptoms
so they have just sedated him..and are now taking him through the back to x-ray him first..then an ultrasound...so i just have to wait...he is a little more comfortable..but still showing pain...

i asked the vet..as i have to be back their with india tonight..if i can bring harley home tonight..and they have said..they are not sure if he will come home tonight..it depends on what they find when x-raying him and ultrasounding him..vet said he is being spoilt..and having cuddles with the vet nurses..and they said for a nearly 6 years old , he is a baby...bless his heart...which made me cry on the phone...

so still no nearer forward...but further tests now being done..hopefully i will know more later today..vet has just promised me he will phone me as soon as he has x-rayed him..and let me know if anything has shown up..which then warrents an ultrasound...

thank you so much everyone  :luv: for all your kind wishes...

and i'll be so glad once friday the 13th is over...

love terri
