Nurse wouldn't give me results

I have just phoned for the results of Woofies biopsy. Spoke to the Nurse who said they had come back today but she couldn't give them me, the Vet would have to ring me later.

Should I be worried or is this normal practice?

From a very worried mum :(

When our cat had loads of test a couple of months ago the nurse could not discuss the results with us and had to get the vet to call if that helps

I had to speak to the vet when Dyl's biopsy came back too.

I guess it sounds pretty normal, as I expect you will want to ask questions which only a vet is qualified to give you. Hope things are ok.  Sarah & Willow

This is normal practice, it's because the vet has to go over them with you and let you know of any treatment required, etc. I get loads of worried people on the phone asking for their results, and I have to tell them the vet will call them back. I don't usually understand their results anyway! ;)

When Berties results came back (he had a lump removed from his nose)  the vet phoned me ! Thinking of you try not to worry too much

Would think it's more to do with if there are questions she's not qualiied to answer, try not to worry and hope the vet rings you soon  :-*

Ok - good news

Vet rang and spoke to OH whilst I was on my way home from work (am please cos Nurse said he was solidly booked and it would be after surgery when he rang!)

Firstly there are no cancerous cells  :D  :D

Unfortunately I can't make head nor tail of OH's spelling but apparently its a ? cyst, which is a waxy ? build up from the ? gland (inside the skin).  It may get bigger but there is nothing to worry about  :D

That's great news Lisa, it could be a sebaceous cyst, they're fairly common and completely harmless :D
