Woofie has been sick a couple of times
« on: June 02, 2009, 04:22:13 PM »
Woofie woke me up retching at about 5.30 this morning.  He brought up a bit of yellow bile with a bit of twig/garden stuff in it.  Took him out and went back to bed for the same thing to happen an hour later.

He was absolutely fine in himself and had had a poo so about 8ish I gave him his breakfast.  After a walk he went to bed with OH.

OH has just said he woke him up about 2ish being sick and then was sick an hour later.  He had digested his breakfast and again it was yellowy frothy bile.  OH says he is absolutely fine in himself.

All sorts of things are going through my mind as I tend to think the worst and don't shout at me but he had a cooked lamb bone on Sunday and now I am worrying it is stuck

There are no other symptoms - shall I starve him until tomorrow.

I don't know Lisa .... if it's bile he's bringing up I'm not sure if starving him would help. Could it be the heat? I do think tbh I would call the vet and see what they say.

I had this with Betty a couple of weeks ago. She was sick about 6 or 7 times while we were out on our morning walk. She brought all her breakfast up and then it was mainly yellow frothy bile and grass. The grass looked like she had just eaten it though. She was sick once more at about 5 o'clock.
I fed her half her tea in the evening but she brought that up 2 hours later so the next morning I gave her a bit of boiled rice and some yoghurt and then the same for her tea with a handful of food and she was ok.
Hope Woofie recovers quickly :-*

How is Woofie now?

Thank you for asking.

OH gave him a small tea before i got home from work and he hasn't been sick again since 3ish.  OH is obviously well trained cos he said 'and he has had a poo and it looked normal!

Woofie seems fine in himself.  Will just keep an eye on him.  He will be happy tonight cos OH is at work so he can sleep on the bed  :luv:

Not quite sure.  One of them was sick early this morning on the Duvet! I woke up and Woofie was on the floor and Maddie was the one nearest it (nice subject I know).  It was just a little bit of clear yellowish liquid with a bit of bark in it.

Both of them seem fine so we are still keeping a close watch.
