Out with the dogs on Saturday all O/K with them...On Sunday i started my shifts again at work so it was left for the wife to take the dogs out on Sunday....peggy all excited as soon as the wife pick up the leads...The usual grand National trip for Peggy up the staires onto the bed back down over the coutch...
(Any way) Wife put her harness on and away they went Peggy in front pulling (she does that with the wife but not with me) i will make her heel until we get to the canel....Leads off....Both do there does and the wife flicks there phooes into the canal for the fishes to eat...
The wife starts to throw the ball one way for Peggy and another way for Cindy...All O/K for the first hour.......Then Peggy starts to slow down not bringing the ball back(i ask the wife at this point DID she twist her self(as she does loads of turns be for running of for the ball) Thought she mite have twisted her self on doing so.....No the wife said!...So she brought Peggy back home and she rang me up at work and ask about the Saturday when i had the both dogs out....I said both weer O/K with me not a problem....
Rang the wife up later at work on Sunday to ask how Peggy was....Wife replies very lethargic...I ll soon be home..
On getting home NO Peggy to greet me she is on the couch just wagging her little stump... No cocker licks either....Some thing is wrong with her rang round some Friends to see if we could get any in foe from them (Take her to the vets on Monday every one says)
I at to go back to work Monday so left the wife to take her to the vets...Got Peggy in first thing Monday morning sharp....
Vet went over her from head to toe....(At this point Peggy could walk but not very well)The vet said could she take some bloods from her...Yes the wife said...Will phone back after four with the resualts....More like six as i came through the door the wife was on the phone....
All came back With hemoglobin Kidneys all o/K so what next we ask the vet can we give her some Paine killers as she seems to be in a bit of pain(Yes said the vet) she would not come of the couch all last night would not eat at first until i hand fed her as she perk up for a while last night..
On getting ready for bed time we got the dogs to do there does out in the garden But Peggy at this time was walking VERY SPASMACITIC....
This morning we awoke to find Peggy had moved around the bed last night but would not jump down of it to do her morning wees....Wife re ringing vets Could not get in until nine o.clock In at ten to nine Knocking on door...
Got Peggy seen to at Nine told the vet as to what has happen in the 24hours since are last visit on Monday...That she has deteriorated badly since Monday but did eat a little when i came home from work....
At the vets this morning she(The VET) could see clearly that there was some thing else that was wrong with her .....That was not pick up from Mondays visit..But she did all the test that she could do pulling testing for reflexes and so forth....The vet on seeing HOW Spasmactic Peggy was has now refereed us to take Peggy to Dovecote Veterinary Hospital at Castle Dodington that we have just come back from...
>:(Being very Angry) That the first thing they was interested in is the BLEEDING paper work are we insured can we pay
at that time i was muttering to my self its all bleeding money the dog health comes a very poor scond....I just felt like throwing my platinum gold card and saying get on with seeing to are Peggy never mind what the dam bill is coming to i am NOT BOTHERED about the money JUST GET ON WITH SEEING TO HER ...(this is what i am thinking in my mind)
The vet at Dovecote went all over her again and has told us various things that could be wrong with her spine..But could not make a prognoses until shes had been Xrayed and a M.R.I scan so we are now on tender hooks until we ring back later to find out on any more in-foe on are Peggy..
We have given consent for them to carry on with any surgery if she needed it to correct what mite be wrong with her.....
All peggy done on Sunday was to play with her ball and this has happened to her...
