Update!!!
Yesterday did not go well, we took Maisie for her scan at 2pm having been told she could have a small breakfast at 7am but then were told the scan was inconclusive because she had eaten.
We now have to take her for another scan booked for next Tuesday, unfortunately at about 8.30pm last night Maisie had what we think was a fit!!!! which was very distressing for her, we raced her to the vet who met us at the surgery and checked her over.
We are now hoping today our vet will get the second scan brought forward to today and we will take her to wherever they tell us to go, we are also trying to contact the breeder that Maisie's previous owner got her from to get some background info on her siblings, unfortunately the breeder is ex directory so depending on how the day unfolds we may take a drive over to Stourport on Severn to see them.
We have never witnessed a dog fit before and I hope we never will again you just feel so useless but we are told this is yet another symptom of a liver shunt so we now feel the scan will in the end only confirm which type of liver shunt Maisie has an internal or external liver shunt in simple terms.
My wife slept all night down stairs with Maisie and it will be my turn tonight until we think she is safe and her medication is sorted.
Thanks Again Michael
