As everyone else has said, don't encourage it - barking cockers are a pain in the butt - 630am this morning Tilly felt she had to tell the world that there was something at the back of the garden

We had that the other night when we were awoken by cats mating - Ham felt he had to alert us, even though we were both awake, 3.30am.

I think it must be in the genes.

Bella (Fred's sister) also very rarely barks unless she gets very excited. The only thing guaranteed to start her off, is the OH's remote control dalek (don't ask). Bella isn't very keen on being pursued by a piece of plastic threatening to exterminate her!

Funny that!

Woody is 13 weeks and seems to bark at anything and everything    but Pepsi who is nearly a year old only barks occasionally, usually if worked up or sometimes when someone comes to the door. Funny how they are all different
