I'm doing my Grade one test with Darcy this Saturday...this also happens to be my birthday, so hopefully she will make it a wonderful day or not  ...as it happens I was making enquiries today with a local breeder (as we are in search of a new 100% working cocker to join the family) and it turns out that she's going to be our assessor...who obviously is a cocker fan

..forgot to mention that in our last training lesson (she gets sooooo bored waiting for the other dogs to do there stuff) she started chewing on her slip lead so I ended up standing on the end of it, with that the trainer threw a dummy for the Brittany dog and with that Darcy pulled the lead from under me, ran and got the dummy first then legged it round the field...maybe we need more than luck...a miracle??

Today wasn't the day for miracles 

I knew her retrieval was going to be dodgy but unfortunately her usual 100% sit/stay/recall went wrong after about 10 seconds and she went for a walk and although I reseated her and finished the exercise it meant she didn't score enough to scrape through her fetch and scarper

I'm not sure what happens now though. Can I just retake the test if I spend some more time on her? Surely I don't have to go through all the training again....do I? I think I will have a 1-1 with a different trainer and see what potential they think she has....just incase I'm wasting my time and money on her. Unfortunately she has probably become more intent on keeping herself happy than me anymore

Don't have any advice in ref to the re-test etc but hope someone comes along who can.

sorry to hear that you didn't pass, you will next time. You can just book another test - yuo cna pay a bit more and have an individual test or you can pay for a group booking or if Leeming Bar isn't too far from you, you could join us for our training day and testing day in March.
