Dental Surgery
« on: December 18, 2013, 06:20:36 PM »
Sam's had sticky discharge from his eyes, vet has put him on antibiotics but says its related to dental problems.  Has also advised that Sam has a heart murmur and combined with his age (he's nearly 11) surgery would be really risky.  He can't stay on antibiotics for ever and when he stops taking them the discharge comes back and also the risk of toxins from infection entering his bloodstream.  What do I do??  Has anyone ever been in this situ?  He's my baby and I want to do what's best for him but the thought of surgery and not being with him should anything happen doesn't bear thinking about.   Just want some reassurance really from people that understand how we are feeling.

A very difficult situation for you, and it is really hard to advise.

What I can do is send some  :bigarmhug: and hope they help
