14-01-14 Kadie is a 4 year old ex-breeding Cocker. When in her kennel she will say hello to you with a waggy tail but if you handle her she will freeze as she doesn't know what to expect yet. Away from her kennel mates she is lost as she knows nothing of being a pet dog. She will need a kind resident dog in her new home to copy and learn from. She will need time and patience to learn skills such as house training and is a beginner on a lead but given plenty of love, care and security she will thrive.

probably because when she came in she was matted and urine stained - these dogs will never have been brushed in their lives

So sad these poor girls have been through so much. Our dear Jessi(before Fizz) will hardly come up to me and we have had her 8 months. But each little step she takes is so good. Such awful things humans do to these poor dogs. Let's hope thatKadie will find a loving home very soon. M

bless her, i wouldn't have even recognised her as a cocker with her extended tummy and no coat :( i hope she finds a loving forever home  :luv:

Her coat is probably like that because she always laid on one side in her crate and never got out of the crate, I'm afraid, so the fur is totally worn away.  We had an ex-puppy farm dog come into rescue just like that once but she's a totally different dog now.  Kadie's coat will grow back and she has a very bright future ahead of her now and she's gorgeous  :luv:
