29-11-15 Limo is a  4 year old female ex-breeding Cocker Spaniel. She is a very nervous at the moment as this is the first time she has seen the big wide world, she has no idea what to expect or what is expected of her. She has a lovely sweet nature and is very gentle.  She is very worried when not with her canine friends so will need a home with at least one very kind and gentle dog to be her friend.  This will also enable her to copy and learn new skills such as house training and walking on a lead,  With time and patience  she will settle and start to enjoy all the new priviledges that being a beloved pet brings.  She is a beautiful dog who deserves a lifetime of love.

2-12-15 Lofty has seen the eye specialist this week - her left eye has a mild cataract but does not require surgery; her right seemed uncomfortable for her so we have put her on some medication and monitoring this at the moment. We will update once we have further news on this eye but in the mean time it is not overly affecting her - Please consider giving this girl a Christmas miracle and chose to give her the forever home she so deserves!!

The description above is for a male cocker and the update is for a female.

.....Lofty is a very, very beautiful red cocker who has the most sweetest, gentlest nature. She is very calm in kennels, although she is very sad here. Like all of our dogs, she really doesn't belong in kennels, and desperately deserves a warm, loving, comfortable home in time for Christmas. Lofty always looks so sad when you pass her. She has a sad expression on her face and just sits in her bed, until you open the kennel door and go and say hello to her. She will run over to you, her little thin tail wagging, and will lie down right in front of you in a sort of submissive and unsure way - but she loves a fuss! I know this because afterwards her face lights up and she will twirl around in circles (6 times every time!), wagging her tail and looking so delighted and happy!
.....Lofty can be a little shy and nervous. At playtime her kennel friends will run out to the play yard and she will follow. Sometimes she will have the confidence to run out all the way, but other times she will stop between her kennel and yard, so I like to help her and pick her up and she finds comfort in this. She is more wary running back in, as she gets a little scared by the other dogs in the other kennels barking in excitement at their turn to go outside.
.....Lofty does not yet walk on a lead but is getting used to wearing a harness. She obviously has not seen much of the world as she freezes when she is in a large open space - say on the country roads. She will sit down and wants to take everything in at present. She needs to feel safe before taking her first steps! She is a proud girl who tries her best not to show she is scared in this situation, and in fact doesn't seem that bothered by cars driving past. I often carry Lofty around the centre, and she enjoys being in the comfort of your arms and seems to enjoy going on a little exploration! Her ears prick up and it is quite funny watching her expressions change at different things she sees! She can be quite comical.
.....All this gorgeous little lady wants is to be loved and have her own loving fun family. Lofty would most certainly need to be homed with another more confident calm resident dog. Her new forever friend will provide her with the confidence she needs and will show her how to live in a home. Lofty gets on well with both males and females alike. Lofty is, and is going to be a very popular and sort after girl, so if you are interest I recommend you apply for her as soon as! Lofty is a little heart-breaker and I guarantee you will fall in love with her instantly! So, what are you waiting for...?!
