Health testing
« on: November 19, 2022, 03:54:15 PM »
Hi all,

My wife and i are hoping to get a cocker next year and are trying to do all the research required.

I am keen to go to a reputable breeder who has had health checks carried out. That said i dont know what the results mean.

Can anyone point me to a website perhaps that explains what all the health test acronyms mean and what we should be looking out for with respect to cocker spaniels

The cocker spaniel club has answered my questions. Perhaps google first, ask second.  :D

Kennel Club have a good section under the ‘getting a new dog’ bit where you can learn about health testing specific to the breed and also look up test results of a specific dog/breeder.
