I don't seem to be able to change my avatar

Gone into my controls - edit avatar - browse and go into my pictures on my computer, click on the one that I want and then click on Update Avatar

Am I doing this right or just being thick?

You are doing it right but it will only change it the picture is small enough.

Check out the size and resize if need be

This happened to me just after Christmas so I left it a day & tried again the next day when it worked fine. If the problem persists, I'm sure Stuart will investigate :)

Sorry to raise this again - but I've been trying for three days to change my Avatar with no joy  :(  I've checked it file size and dimensions and they are fine.....

I can link to an off-site avatar, or use a gallery picture, but I can't upload a new one - problem is, there seems to be a length limit on the off-site picture url, so although I have uploaded the avatar I want to use to Photobox - I can't get the whole of the web address of the picture into the box

I am sure it will be OK once COL is on the "new" server/software - but I was hoping someone would tell me I'm not alone

That was a link to an exernal site - I tried it for a bit, but decided I prefered nothing at all rather than that slightly odd looking chap  ;)

As you can see, I've done it - I have created a photobucket album and off-site linked to the avatar.......the URL for the picture is small enough to be accepted  :)  :)
