signature pictures

This has probable been asked loads of times, but i can't seam to work out how to put the little pictures/moving cartoon in the signature strip at the bottom of posts. I've found out all about the sizes allowed  and  I've even managed a photo at the side of my  profile - ok. It's just the signature bit that has thrown me - mind you it doesn't take much 

Can someone please point me in the right direction please

You need to use the following code in the signature box (replacing "url" with the actual address of your image)

If you could keep any animation quite subtle, that would be appreciated - too many bouncing, flickering pics can give me a head-ache
