Lots of whiney sleep-yelps and funny noises - I thought that was when they were dreaming and barking in the dream?
Salty doesn't get wet very often as he hates water - even wet grass!
I used to be sad about this as I realised that he wouldn't ever like to come out sailing with me like my last dog did, but now I know his temperament, I am more than a little relieved.
Also he wont be taking long winter lollops through the Brightlingsea mud at low tide like my last dog did, as you watch with heart in mouth from the prom as she gradually slowed down, and down and down ... and you hoped she would make it to the sailing club launching ramp or you would have had to go in to the mud and rescue her (never had to). Rolling in a very decomposed porpoise on Seawick beach was a good one too. Never did sell that car.
But after eating, Salty lifts his front paws up so he is resting on his cheek on the floor and powers himself along the floor on his face with his back legs - every time.
