hopefully justs a urine infection, they look worse than they are, and I know seeing blood always sets alarm bells ringing, but there are loads of things it could be that are easily treated.

Hoping all goes well for Jack tomorrow  :luv:

I looked after next door's cocker for a week when they were away on holiday.  Whilst we were out walking I noticed she was weeing very red wee.  I took her straight to the vets and it was cystitis.  It cleared up quickly with antibiotics.

Hopefully it will be just the same with Jack.

It's strange, but we've had a spate of blood in urine in dogs this week at my work, there seems to be a lot of infections going about - perhaps due to many dogs eating snow?

Years ago a cocker of mine had blood in his urine - his pee was bright red. It was on a Sunday night that it happened and I got myself into a right state with worry, thankfully all was fine after a visit to the vet - the blood had been caused by him straining himself.
Hoping all will be ok with Jack.

Oh no Jo, hope the wee man is right as rain soon. Keep us posted.
The reason dogs have so many friends is because they wag their tails instead of their tongues.

just had him out again and his wees still always red. he's not going any more than normal but he has only just recently started cocking and marking so maybe as some one else said its from straining.

Hi, we reckoned my boy's strain was caused by him leaping across the seats of my car. The vet did say that we did the right thing by bring him in first thing in the morning. Hoping everything is ok. :-*

Hey!
first of all, I'm sorry to hear this but I can totally relate to this thing. A few months, my puppy was doing the same thing too. She used to pee normally and then blood used to come out. I took her to the vet and we found out that it was blood infection. We started giving her pills and after 4-6 doses, she started recovering well.

So don't worry, I can understand what you are going through, just comfort your dog and take him or her to vet :)
