Spaying what age again!!

I am just curious regarding the ongoing questions regarding the age of spaying bitches, the general consensus I have read seems to suggest after the 1st season.
There seems to be some poss problems with earlier spays i.e incontinence
I have just noticed the rescue pups have to be spayed at 6 months? wondered why?
My girls are now both 9 months and have not as yet come into season.

Mine have been spayed 3 months after the 1st season I believe it gives the dog time to mature 

One of my girls though sadly has a weak bladder even though she was 14 months when spayed  and my friends Collie also has  a problem with bladder control she was spayed at 6 months.

Its very much personnal choice really I think ...you can go around in circles with pros and cons.

My vet believes in spaying before the first season.....Holly was done at christmas but she was 8 months and no sign of a season

my vet believes in speying before the first season too so both my girls were done at around 7 months with no problems. I'm sure there are as many reasons for doing it early as there are for doing it late. I didn't want to have to deal with the 'season thing' so my vet's opinions suited me fine.
