Thinking Of Buying A New Computer

<< < (2/2)

ReadingSteve:
It's relatively easy to install the hard disk from your old PC as a secondary hard disk in your new one (unless your new one is a laptop  ;)  in which case you may need to get an external hard drive "caddy" that would accept the old hard drive and plug into the USB port of your laptop.  Once you've got the two drives connected up, you can copy the files that you need across from one hard drive to the other.

You do need to be careful what you copy - Do a virus scan of the files on your old hard disk first and only copy documents as opposed to system configuration files etc.
