I have spoken with the vet who has spoken to John Ferguson in Fife.  They both seem to think that because she isn't putting her feet flat that it is definitely either a prolapsed disc or an emboli.  She was saying things about cage rest and anti inflammatories and then said that doing things that way, she may relapse and/or she may never walk properly again :'(. She then said that John was happy to see us tomorrow and talk over getting a dye injected into her spine so they can see what is going on and then probably an operation.  She didn't say if an operation would put things back to normal or if Lyla will always have problems.  I have decided to see John tomorrow but it is a 3 hour drive for Lyla so I hope we are doing right.

The vet is going to phone later with a progress report and luckily it is her on call tonight so she can pop in and see her.  My poor wee baby.  I feel like someone has ripped my heart out. :'(

Thinking of you all and sending Prayers and Healing thoughts that everything turns out OK.

It's so heartbreaking when something like this happens, but try to stay positive knowing that she is in the best possible hands, that she is much loved and that you are doing the best for her that is humanly possible.
