For those using ear washes..Do you warm them first ?

If they are used cold this can cause pain. Better at body temperature.

You know I have never thought of that ph34r. Oh poor Brodie! It must have been awful when she had the ulceration too. I feel awful now! Will start doing this tomorrow.

Unfortunately after only three weeks of being clear, I am starting to see signs that the psuedomonas is coming back. Phoning the vet tomorrow :012:

When my vet was treating wilf for his last bad infection we used canaural but didn't clean them every day

I find with Wilf if you clean his ears too often it makes them too wet and thus more liable to continuing problems

Unfortunately it seems I have to do it every day - the moment I start cutting back to less than that, the stuff comes back >:D? But I worry about the wetness

Feel guilty now......never gave a thought to warming ear cleaner first........have to say Emma is so good
she only has to see me pick the bottle up and she goes and lies and her bed with the poorly ear facing upwards so I can do it..........think it might be that she knows she will get a treat afterwards  :005: :005:

One of our old labs was put on steroids for an ear infection which in actual fact didn't look too bad, the vet noticied it on his annual vaccination visit! Result - 2 overnight stays at vets due to alergic reaction to seroids!!!! Total cost over £ 500  >:(
Never again!
