Stinky breath
« on: February 23, 2004, 12:34:46 PM »
Can anyone recommend a good treatment for bad breath (in dogs  )

Honey is on JWB puppy food (Turkey variety) and has a touch of Nature Diet with it.  Her breath is bogging though    .

I've checked her lip folds and teeth - all seem OK, and her teeth are so new and clean, I can only think it must be the food she's on.

She has chews and fruit/veg and even those minty chews you can get.

I've seen fresh breath tablets but didn't know if they were worth trying.

Can anyone offer any advise?
All the best
Phil

Maybe worth checking to see if her anal glands need emptying

How old is Honey now? Have her teeth changed yet? All mine have had the stinkiest breath ever when they were teething
Anal glands is of course one possibility.
And yes, of course it can also be the food, mine had bad breath when they were on Purina.

Hi Katina

She is 15 weeks now, so could the teething maybe be starting?

Bye for now

All mine were teething between 3 and 5 months, so Honey could well be starting :)
