Am really sorry to hear about the problems with Dave's eyesight especially with him being so young. I took our last cocker to the vet when he was young and his eye had become inflamed and swollen overnight. I was devastated when the vet had finishied examining him and said he thought he had glaucoma. I was in tears that night thinking of all the things he wouldn't see, be able do (as I thought) etc. The next day a second vet agreed with the first vet's diagnosis but arranged an emergency appointment with an eye specialist for Jake. It was a hugh relief when he said it definitely wasn't glaucoma, but an eye injury he'd sustained after getting stuck under my daughter's bed, which he was successfully treated for. I know yours is a completely different scenario, but I can so empathise with your concerns about Dave's vision and can only reiterate what Holly Berry has said, about Dave adjusting and accepting to how it is for him, and it's us as humans who see it so differently for them. I do hope the eye specialist has some positive news for you.
