Toby weekend of "1st's"
« on: July 03, 2011, 07:38:13 PM »
Well Toby has had a weekend of "1st's" as he:-

went on a 2 hour journey in car (no sickness but all passengers cold as all windows open!!),

spent a night in a B & B and sleeping in crate with us only feet away in a strange thing called a "bed" (not seen us in bed before as not allowed upstairs here!),

was left in a strange room when we had breakfast (good as gold)

had a morning on Westward ho! beach with dogs everywhere!!

He slept all way home in car and is snoring on sofa next to me as I type!!

Really nice pictures

What a good lad Toby is not sure my two would be so well behaved  :luv:

Good Boy Toby  :luv: :luv:

Westward Ho! is about 2-3 miles away from where I was born and lived till I went to Uni - just seeing the beach and the headland in the background has made me feel all nostalgic  :'( :'(

It was our first visit there, parked in "something burrows" ... and great beach for dogs. We go to croyde on hols each yr but no dogs there but Saunton round corner does, so we will head for that in 5 weeks time!

It is Northam Burrows - oooh, envy, envy, envy!  When I was a child we would walk to the beach at Westward Ho! and spend all day there building the most intricate and extensive sandcastles - the sand there is brilliant for all creative earthworks .  We would have food cooked on a home-made barbecue (an old biscuit tin I seem to recall) - part of the day would be spent crashing around in the surf and the other part play cowboys and indians in the sand dunes behind the pebble ridge - happy days  :D

I am really pleased that Toby enjoyed his time there - Alice has visited once and had a fantastic time but to date Louis hasn't been there - thinking about, maybe it is time I paid the place a visit!

Enjoy Saunton sands as well  :D

Oh my goodness - I had to look twice at Toby's photos - he is the spitting image of my Robbie in those photos. He even has the same white whiskers!!

Well done Toby, what a good boy.  Not sure my Toby is gonna be so good when we go to Lowestoft to visit my sister in a few weeks time, I fear 4 hours of crying in the car and not settling at night in a strange house, on the bright side he will have 3 other cockers to play with  :D

aaw - well done Toby.  Love the pictures.  What a star to settle so well and in a strange room.  Not sure Pebbles will do so well when we go away in our caravan in 3 weeks' time but fingers crossed.
