Well done Nicola I have been looking at doing these grades with mocha and am practising what the test entails. I am assuming you think that doing the test are a good idea? why did you do the gundog clubs tests as opposed to the KC working tests?
They will do the KC WGC as well (hopefully!) but as it has to be done either on an actual shoot, at a simulated one or at a working test and involves retrieves from water and over obstacles I won't enter Rodaidh in this until he's older, he's still only 11 months and not ready to go on a shoot yet and I'm not going to rush him for the sake of getting a certificate. These GC tests were a better compromise for the age he is now and the stage he's at in his training. Alfie could probably do the WGC now but I'd rather wait and enter them together.
I would recommend these definitely, I didn't go to organised classes beforehand, I just practised the elements in their normal training at home and with Alfie when we've been out beating and picking up but it's been good for them and for me to have something structured to work towards
