Title: orin shivering cold
Post by: hblower on August 22, 2017, 08:17:26 AM
Anyone elses doggies had a shivery cold?  orin was fine when I got home from work and had lunch with him, I was with him all afternoon and he was in the garden or sleeping.  by the time I went to the doctors at half three he was laying there shivering, didn't want to eat a treat(I did wonder as he is diabetic if he was having a hypo so tried him with something sweet) I covered him in my big winter coat and my partner took over while I went to the doctors, he then ate a couple treats and went round garden then lay down shivering.  I rang vets and we have to take him in this morning.  He did eat half his te last night about 9pm and he had half his insulin in instruction from vet.  He slept with us and seems better this morning still bit shivery but has had wee, poo and pottered round garden but still sorry for himself.  he drank and ate half his dinner again.  can cockers get fever(what vet thinks he might have)

Yes they can, Ollie had a cold a few years ago, unwell, shivers etc, he then got a runny nose!
Hope things improves.
