We also went to the Bretford show in Solihull today, never done an outdoor comp away from our training ground and this was our first KC one.
He went like a little rocket in the grade one jumping and we got 2nd place and a huge rosette - never got anything like this in riding!
Then the second jumping class started running before i had chance to walk it so it was piloting errors there - called him too hard and he turned before doing the jump.
And the agility - got into a muddle coming off the A frame to a jump to nowhere, but the weaves were great - comsidering he's only been able to do them for a month or so and has never met them in competition he did 12 no probs. The seesaw was a problem again and he got halfway up and then wasnt going to budge so i had to help him out, we finished the last two jumps well. Was so pleased with the weaves and the dog walk as he had started to freeze on that as well as the seesaw but he just got straight on.
Had a cracking day - I'm brite pink from the windy weather - and henry is snoozing. went down to the stables for 2 hours and came back and he was in the position i left him in, never even got up to greet me!
