Title: Insurance
Post by: rachy85 on April 01, 2011, 05:26:00 PM
Hey there

I just wondered if anyone knows a great deal about pet insurance? My free insurance from the kennel club is up in a week or so and looking at websites I'm not sure what to do for the best!!
Rocco is a show type cocker pup and I don't know if I need the lifetime insurance or one that only covers conditions for 12 months?

Just wondered if anyone knew better :) thanks!

Here is a link to the Insurance section of the board

There are loads of posts for you to look through but I would advise to steer clear of the ones that only cover a condition for 12 months, especially with Rocco only being a puppy. Not only would you be left paying for the treatment after the 12 months is up, no other insurance policy will cover it as it will be deemed as pre-existing.

It really can be a bit of a minefield but if you work out which level of cover suits you and your needs first, then it should make things a bit easier.
