I just love it. Riley will shift around, find his spot then let out a HUGE sigh, Sometimes its just so loud.
At night, he will jump on our bed , after about 10 mins he will jump off to find his comfy spot in the ensuite.
I listen for that sigh every time and know then he is in sleep mode.
He does it all the time though not just at night, I just love it. How weird am I :005:
-
Yes, Jem does!
I absolutely adore it. I listen for her to do it every night and it always makes me say 'aah' :luv:
-
Not weird at all - I love it when we're all settled in bed and usually I sigh followed by Misha and then Roly - wouldn't be without it. I know what you mean I and also listen out for it - its just such a lovely contented sound :luv:
-
Ours do. I suspect all cockers do ;)
They have such a hard life.... :005:
-
Awww mine does he looks so content when he's getting his comfy spot also makes such cute noises when he's scratching his ears
-
Yup, that 'lifes good' sound...... :luv:
-
Lottie does it just before she settles to sleep at night in her bed, :luv: I think she's thinking peace at last from that pesky Lola who has her own bed the other side of ours  They can both snore though :fear2: :011:

Lol, surely not sweet petite little Lola, ;)
Riley funnily enough just started snoring.

Jane....just shown Roger this. He blames me for sighing and snoring.......when all the time it was cocker sounds... :005: :005:

Funny as Jazz always does the "sigh" once she is in her comfy spot then we know she is not moving till morning :luv:
Bailey doesn't really do it but boy she can snore for England :005: :005: :005:

Ruby does it too,if she is dozing off on our laps or snuggling down any where really.Thing is,her sigh of contentment is very deep and almost sounds like a man  :005:
-
Barney's another sigher and often does it if we're ignoring him or he doesn't get what he wants - he moves to the other settee or the floor and just lets out a real 'I'm hard done by' sigh :luv:
-
Alfie does this when he settles down on my knee every evening. I once saw a programme about dogs which said when they do that they are totally relaxed.
-
I thought this was just a gemma thing, not a general cocker spangle thing. We lie in bed waiting for the big sigh. Then we know all is well and sleep awaits :003:
-
Henry doesn't sleep in our room, so I don't hear the sigh late at night. He does sometimes do it when he's snoozing in the sitting room though during the day or evening. I agree, it's such a lovely contented sound :luv: He used to have a squeaky yawn when he was tiny but generally doesn't do it any more, but he did it yesterday and it made my heart melt!

Teals crate is in the bedroom and she will get very uppity at around 11pm mouthing and jumping on us until Sue says OK bedtime, she races up the stairs dives into he bed and settles down in 5 seconds flat and then does the big sigh.
-
Mine too. They are so funny these cockers.
-
All we get is a grumble :o
-
Annie just did it as I read this :luv: I think we all love it because it means "peace at last" :005:

When Jinley is on my lap having a cuddle, she draws breath in about 4 stages then a long breath out. Thats when I know she is really chilled!
