Title: stud dog fees ?

Been asked by a " Top Cocker Trainer " about using my young working cocker to be mated with one of his bitches, what should I be expecting in fees.

My cocker is only young ,but his pedigree and he are exceptional.

I'm not sure you can expect any fees the first time - it all depends on what agreement you come to with the owner of the bitch but it used to be the case that stud fees were not charged for a first time unproven stud dog (but there might be an arrangement to pay a fee once any litter is born or perhaps offer a puppy in lieu of a stud fee).
