Title: Any groomers near me ??
Post by: butterflywings21 on June 11, 2013, 07:22:13 PM
Just wondering if there were any good groomers near me..I'm near Reigate in Surrey. Tilly has been to one and was great, but she doesn't do hand stripping and i'm not sure if i do or don't want  hand stripping. Still looking into this..

I can recommend debbie from - scruffy to fluffy ..

She is in Horley just by the chequers hotel . She cuts all three of myn . Works from her home is trustworthy and a lovely lady to boot.

I am not sure she hand strips though but may know someone who does if this is what you want.

If you want her number please pm me

I just did this myself each day with an elastic band threaded through a comb.  So simple to do.   :D

If the fur was ready to come out I would get out loads from the comb, other times not an awful lot.  When it was coming out quite a bit I just did it a few times a day - only for a very short time.

I do love the look of hand stripped cockers. Mine were stripped until neutered and then it was the clippers after that as coat was too coarse. I used to do it myself until the kids came along and then just didn't have the time but always a great sense of satisfaction when you have finished them.

butterflywings, in my recent (daft) thread on Misc photos board ''clone dog'', the fur is a result of this rubber band method....he's 8 months old though, so still some time to wait with Tilly xx
