Hi everyone
Currently, in the week when we leave Hugo in his crate to go to work, he knows to get into his bed and settle down. We currently leave him with a puppy Bonio (which he will do anything for!) but I know that they are not especially the best for him and I think they may be making his poos a bit runny/soft.
My question is, are there any healthy, good for tummies treats that I can give to him when we leave and before bed time? I'm having trouble finding something as big as the Bonio's and would appreciate some help :D

Can you leave him a Kong? Then you can stuff it with anything you want

You could also try various treat balls/bones that you can fill with kibble which will also exercise mentally.

Treat balls can be filled with a few small treats, I use fish4Dogs stars - mainly because they rattle and Minstrel has a little game with ball too, before getting the treats, you can use any puppy friendly treats, long as they fit in the hole of the ball.

Carrot sticks - they have very few calories as dogs can't really digest vegetables unless it's juiced, plus great for teeth as an alternative to dental sticks which can be very high in calories ;) and won't cause any damage to gums :D

Hi our puppy is 10 weeks old, can I give her carrot sticks?

Think I would wait until she is fully settled in and you know she will be ok with a change in diet - they shouldn't cause any harm but I guess she's only been with you a couple of weeks? If you think they won't cause an upset tum its worth giving her a small baton/stick to see how she gets on - likely to appear the other end as bright orange bits :005:

Ok thanks Pearly, I just gave her a wee bit, will see how she gets on :)
