Hi max is almost 6 months old now and today was his 2nd time he has had his feet trimmed and she also gives him a bath etc. The lady who does it comes to the house. Max just hates his feet being touched he was screaming the place down. She said some dogs are just very sensitive with their feet. Is anyone's else's spaniel like this? Any tips? I think she thinks he is over the top and he is a lovely little thing. Thanks in advance x

Yes, Keira cocker will let you do
anything to her ...but touching
the forbidden zone...her back feet is
a no-no :005:
also Ellie won't let me touch her tail,
she can be zonked out and I think...hmm time for
a tail tidy, but 1 touch and she's off...her tail
looks like a bog brush :o

Bless her. I actually thought max had something wrong with his back feet today but no he was just creating where he hated them being touched! I'm dreading the next time he has to have them cut x

Brodie has very ticklish feet, she really hates getting them touched. I handled her all over as a pup to get her used to it, but it didn't work with her paws - they are just too sensitive. I've tried to desensitise them and clicker training, but nothing seems to help... She's better with the groomer now that she's a little older, but still 'tap dances' when they are washing and blow drying those paws :shades:.

Charlie was like that, still is a little but he tolerates me trimming his feet.
at first I'd hold his feet when he wasn't paying attention, then let him move his feet away. Or I'd hold his foot and treat, brush his foot, treat etc...it just sort of worked up using bribery. Treats will be your best bet :)

Bonnie is the exact opposite she falls asleep while i rub her front paws!!! She seems to find it relaxing,, knew she was a strange one

Bertie is a nightmare having his feet groomed, I have always touched and played with his feet since he was young ( he is now 10 months) as being a dog groomer I know how some dogs can be with their feet but it hasn't made any difference at all. I groomed him today and my husband was feeding him liver paste whilst I was trying to tidy his feet up, this wasn't working so I thought I know ~I will put a little bit of ice cream in a cornet and he can lick it - well I should have known better he just wolfed it down in one go :005:.
His feet look awful so choppy where I have just had to take some off when I can >:D

Pebbles, exactly the same. Having the fur trimmed on her feet by the groomer is a nightmare even with treats. I have even now had to resort to having her claws clipped at the vets at more expense as neither the groomer nor I could manage. She literally screams the place down when they are cut. Mind you she is the biggest baby anyway., bless her. :D

No real problems here but Fudge's big pad on all 4 paws is really sensitive and when you put wax on them he reacts like he is being tickled!!
