Title: Clipper Service/Repair- where?
Post by: niqnet on August 17, 2014, 12:27:19 PM
Hi,

We have an Andis 2 speed and it doesn't seem to be running correctly.  Recently sharpening blades are blunt again.  Can anyone recommend somewhere for sharpening and servicing/repair?

Thanks,
N x

I use Diamond Edge for my clippers.  Recently had the same problem with mine.  Look at the blade - are the 2 toothed parts actually moving back and forth?  Mine turned out to be the gear lever that needed replacing  ;) They replaced it and gave them a service for about £34

I've used Diamond Edge too and found them to be helpful on the phone and then quick to do the work that's needed.

Just a thought have you changed the white plastic Blade drive assembly ?  the blades snap against they do need changing after a certain amount of use, you should have a spare supplied when you brought the clipper.

It does make a difference to the running of the clipper blades

Hi,

Thanks for your replies.  Yes, we changed the white plastic bit but maybe I didn't fit things correctly.  Diamond Edge it is then!
