Louis loves those lengths of brown paper that are used to pad out parcels and I keep them for him. They're really useful on days like this, when he's only had one walk because of the rain and has also been on his own for a few hours (with William, but Will ignores him and sleeps). I can either give him balls of it to shred, or lengths to play tug of war with, or put tiny treats in twists of it in a cardboard box or hidden around a room to find. Keeps his little brain occupied for a while and helps him to settle down before I watch Downton Abbey :D

Will plays a bit with the paper but prefers having a little bit of peanut butter smeared in a kong while I entertain Louis.

The black cat is innocent.....the brown spotty one on the other paw is likely to have started the cardboard shredding by sitting on the landing behind the stairgate, taunting the black dog.......

Don't say that :lol2:

Though Millie will have to move pretty quickly to beat Murphy to anything worth shreading, especially the post.

Dickin Medal citation runs something like:

"Despite the overwhelming size of the enemy and with complete disregard for his own safety he launched and sustained a furious counter attack in defence of family and home until the box was completely defeated and unable to offer any further resistance. Throughout the entire episode he displayed great coolness and fortitude."

Something like that anyway

Miss Pearl looks distinctly uncomfortable as if to say I'm going to get the blame for this, and I don't get any thanks for babysitting the black one.

Chris I'd love to think it occurred while I was out - this took as long as it takes to "pop upstairs"  ;) I reckon it was under three minutes......and Emma, I think Archie left instructions with Pearl to pass on to the next generation  ph34r
