Popped into the vet to put Dylan on their scales, and at 5 months today he is 11.5 kilos. He is nice and slim, but he must still have some growing to do. Milo was only the same weight as an adult.
Eeeekkkk! I think I have a Great dane by mistake :o

I know what you mean! Monty at 8.5 months is 13.4 kilos! The vet said she would like to see him more at 12.5 but he isn't chubby at all! Bless him!
Definitely think we've been sold Great Danes by mistake! ;-) x
Love from Polly and Monty!

Like people they come in different shapes and sizes. As long as they have a clearly visible waist and (from the side) you can see a rise behind the ribs and they are fit and healthy...
Buster tips the scales around 16.5kg but has a build that wouldn't be out of place on a prop forward! I can warrant that its muscle and not fat having been towed up various hillsides by him of a weekend.

Archie was a similarly big pup. He is definitely carrying a bit extra but still has a waist and feelable ribs. I struggle to give him less food to keep his weight down. He has the low fat version and only half the recommended amount. He gets about two thirds the amount of food as Mums Jade. She weighs just over 11kg. Archie? 19kg. I've been asked in the past if he's a clumber spaniel. :shades: I've decided he's just a gorgeous cuddly hunk. :luv:

Just bought him a new football, but maybe it should have been a rugby ball

When we were making enquiries about Chaz at his breeder we saw his father, a BIG worker, and fell in love with him and his offspring immediately :luv:
Chaz has been a constant source of comment through his puppy years from our vet regarding his weight but now, at three years old and 22 kilos, our vet has started calling him her lovely big boy! She says he's the perfect shape now that his puppy fat has turned to muscle……he's just Big ;)
He was 19 kilos at a year old, 24.8 kilos at eighteen months, 23.4 kilos at two years, 22.1 kilos six months ago and has now settled at spot on 22 kilos. His ribs can easily be felt and his deep chest tapers upwards to a firm stomach beneath his pronounced waist. He stands 18.5 inches at the shoulder.
He's also got the most beautiful heart meltingly brown eyes :luv:

We're on completely the opposite end of the scale! Cosmo ,show type, who is now 10 weeks is only weighing in at 2.62kg :luv:
The vet is really happy with him just thinks he's going to be a little one especially as he was the runt of the litter :005:
He makes up for his size with his cockerdile teeth though! ;)

Willow is 11.5 kg at 6 months and she's not fat. She's already bigger than out 5 year old cocker.

I've also got a chunky monkey, Alfie now weighs 22.5kg but the Vets say he is just a tall boy. You can feel his ribs. I look at other Cocker's and they seem so small compared to him but he is healthy and a happy little (or should i say big) boy. He will be 3 in December.
