Oscar has started to almost do a little dance before he needs a number 2. He will run out into the garden look back at me and bark, he will then run around the garden in circles for a bit before doing a very fluid spin before he does his business, is this normal behaviour??
When we are out for a walk he tends to do very quick spins before he goes for a deposit.
Just wondering if anyone else receives a performance? It's not an issue at all, just a little buzzard, Oscar has always barked when needing the toilet, just the performances seem to be getting slightly more dramatic as he gets older :005: he was 10 months 2 days ago.

Gemma's toilet starts with sniffing until the correct area is found, followed by decreasing circles until the "dump stop" is in target.
One of her peculiarities is that she has to pee on every mole hill she comes across.
Felt sorry for a lady today. Her dog had dumped in the middle of the main road. Cars were swerving around her while she fumbled for a pooh bag. I do scoop the poop but i would have left that one ph34r

Pearl finds her place and just goes, quietly and discreetly. Coral doesn't bother to stop - she wees on the run and poops on the run also - it does slow her down a little but only to about the same speed Pearl runs at, flat out!

Blue does no 'Balletics', but selection of the ideal spot seems to take a ridiculous amount of time!
-
Watched a little Jack Russel the other day, she lifted both back legs, somehow balanced on her front ones and weed, and was off running again within seconds - a bit like a "pit stop" wee! So comical, her Mum reckons she often does it like that!! :005:
-
Yes, Mollie does zoomies first, followed by 2 twizzels and then does her poo - but it still has to be in the right sniff place! :005: :005: :005:

Hehe you lot are lucky Ellie
"goes" whilst on the hop so I have to
follow her whilst picking up...it's
so embarassing!

Dexter struggles to find the ideal spot and will often get up and move a few paces before finishing his business.
-
Ben just stops and gets on with it
Harry, twists, turns, twirls in circles like he is auditioning for Strictly! Sometimes for up to 3 or 4 minutes before he goes which can be very embarrassing :D
-
Ellie always tries to face into the road with her head poking over the kerb. Can be difficult to get her to move back if she dangles too far over :-)
-
Honey will spin while still in motion! :shades:

Yep Teal does the circles before going then runs away 3 yards turns around runs back and gives it a quick sniff before walking away and leaving me to bag up

another thing with Gemma is
When she is walking she will stop and pee ( more like a dog than a lady :005:) on every thing that catches her eye. Yet when you need her to do an "important " pee on command ( before you leave her at home alone) it is quite a pantomime >:D

Oh they are funny little things! Thanks for sharing, it has made for a good bed time read :005: Glad to know Oscar isn't the only pup that likes to make a performance when it comes to toileting!

Bird poo is a must to wee on according to Ellie

Wilf my late cocker was a real spinner when he went to the loo (am surprised he didn't go dizzy sometimes) - it became a joke really to watch him but must admit you knew he was about to go (as he got older he'd march up and down in a small area then spin before he went andif he couldn't quite go just then he had to do it all over again).
One foster cocker who MaryP adopted often did these amazing 'poo dances' but usually once he'd been

You can always tell when a poo is coming with mine.
Turns around a bit and reverses into a hidden spot.
Very helpful when picking up. NOT!
Recently the red poo-bins seem to be a trigger.
Wish there were more about.

So does Millie! And then she'll do a ballet dance, twirling and twizzling with a swift run indoors!😀
Her dog sitter once asked if everything was OK as she'd never seen a dog do an after event dance before!

Yep Lady does this as she does hers on the run practically

Always wipes his bum on a bit of grass. Ain't anal glands. Always does it.
House-trained in a week, just seemed to know.
I've cleaned sick off carpets but never any poo.
