Oscar has had a soft toy elehant since he came to us at 10 weeks old (he is now ten months). For the last two weeks he has been sucking on one of the elehants ears, I came down the other morning and it had gone. I looked everywhere for it, so I think he may have eaten it!! He's poohs have been fine and he is well in himself, I'm just not sure if I should take him to the vet. If I do, what would they actually do? Is it harmful to him if he has eaten it??

bless him. I would keep an eye on the little monkey. good chance he will pass it if he has eaten it. Could it have fell off elsewhere in the house
Gemma ate a lump of sponge that I was using to apply Poppy's nose balm. That came out a few days later.
If he appears not himself by all means take him to the vet.
unless the toy hefferlump was full size :005: now that would be a different story

Most of Humphrey's soft toy animals were gradually transformed into unrecognizable torsos as legs, arms, ears and noses steadily disappeared. We never had a problems although his poos were often very "prettily coloured!" ! :005: :005: :005: I took them away when the stuffing started coming out or if there were any long stringy bits, but generally, these little monkeys have got pretty good digestive systems, I wouldn't worry too much but just keep, an eye out.

At the moment Reese doesn't have anymore stuffed toys as they only seem to last a few minutes before they are obliterated. I must admit I didn't worry too much as most of the bits he pulled off are very small, but i would take them off him as soon as he got to the stuffing or started on the larger parts. I must say It was quite disturbing cleaning up a poo with ducks soft eyes peering back at me, but I did get over it. :D
I would keep a close eye on him, it will probably pass and take to vets if you have any concerns.

I can only echo what others have said and keep an eye out. Our boy kills all his toys very quickly and will eat it if he can. You do not mention how big the ear was, as if it was big then it may be a worry if it was small and a bit well chewed I done think you will have a problem. The stuffing is the stuff to worry about most as it does not break down easily.
