Title: Teeth cleaning????
Post by: rubyduby on September 02, 2025, 12:34:32 PM
Hi all, I have tried a number of teeth cleaning products, ones you put in food (she wont eat it) and one or two rub on products, but none see to be very good, can anyone recommend any product that actually works!

I use Virbac enzyme toothpaste, and a child's toothbrush. I?ve used it since Dylan was a puppy, he's ten now and his teeth have no tartar, he's had no extractions or problems. It's not cheap,  but cheaper than an op at the vet?s!
II did use one of the ones that you just rub on and leave, but didn't find it very effective.

I to have a childs toothbrush and Harry has Beabar liver......must admit I have never has a dog like him!!!!
He loves having his teeth cleaned, hubby job I must have, but I use to by some wipes for Ollie called Petkin toothe wipes.  I use these with Harry as hubby works away at times.  There are some others that you can place on your finger.

For Ollie I used Virbac or Dentihex as his mouth a gums were quite bad.  Plus it took two of us and we needed six arms :005:

Hugo goes to a groomer who uses an ultrasonic doggy toothbrush. He's coming up to 12 years old, has all his teeth and the vet says his teeth and gums are super.

They?re excellent! Very simple to use, no noise no vibration but work very well!

I got one of those ultrasonic brushes, Dylan wasn't keen, I put a new head in and use it myself - it's brilliant!
