Title: Miss Molly
Post by: MIN on May 10, 2026, 10:38:29 PM
For the first time in 27 months, miss Molly has stayed up all day with us. She is a young dog who never sleeps during the day. And therefore gets very argumentive and bitey with tiredness. So bitey , verging on vicious that she is crated to chill out.. But today, survived with only a little tantrum. In fact she asked to go to bed around 10pm.
I say vicious, but it is only aimed mainly at me because I am the "NO" monster in her eyes.  I am not scared of her and she knows that.Around other people she is fantastic and I have no fears.  So today has been a massive 👍🥳🥳.  I do have her on yumove calming tablets but the jury is still out on them, at the moment no plans to get a second packet.    Oh well, another day tomorrow

On reflection, vicious is probably a bit harsh,  savage is better 🐾🐾

  :clapping:  Well done Miss Molly!!
HUmphrey  was my first cocker and I remember coming back from a puppy training session feeling very disheartened after the trainer had explained that most dogs will calm down at around 12-18 months but added with a rasied eyebrow
?Cockers need at least 3 years?!!  :lol2:
I can imagine its tiring when Molly doesn?t sleep in the day but lately Humphrey doesn?t do much else but sleep, he?s hard to motivate with anything (except food) and do wish sometimes I could turn the clock back, the days when he was enthusiastic to have a go at anything new all passed too quickly.

I never knew what a little madam she was :D

Hope she is turning a corner....but these cockers are a force of nature and don't think time scales apply :005:
