A show champion is a dog that has won three challenge certificates (CC's) under 3 different judges you have to win best dog or best bitch at Championship shows

Hi I a have just been looking at Kellys Family tree and it says her grandmother was a show champion I know its prob a daft question but what does it exactly mean, can anyone say this on their family tree and is there a way I could search the net for (if it is true) what show she was champion of and perhaps a photo etc.. I do find this interesting and would like to investigate further. Thanks Julia

No they won't necessarily Mark. The Cocker Club has an archive of show photos but doesn't keep individual photos of individual Sh Champions or their history, unless you mean adverts in the annual Year Books? Julia, if you let us know Kelly's Grandmother's name, I'm sure someone will be able to help you with further info :)

I'm sorry Mark but those photos you saw do not belong to The Cocker Club - they belong to the photographer Ian Scott who kindly brings along his collection every year for display purposes & then takes them home again. I have had to ask Ian specifically to borrow some of his photos for use on the Club website as the Club does not keep photos of individual dogs.

Well actually she couldn't - she'd need to contact the photographer direct but she may not need to as often other members of COL have pics in their own private collections or in their Year Books.

i take it you dislike me however she would need to contact the club to know who the photographer is as i am sure she is not up on the show world and if she is like me maybe would like a copy picture of a quailty print
Ooooooooo Im sorry if I started something here Kellys grandmother name is Asquanne,S Glenfiddich and her grandfather is also show champion Hanley Simple Red. The only reason I have doubts is as I have said in the past we Believe that Kelly is from a questionable background with names in her pedigree that have been mentioned as not good. Although I have to say her breeder has contacted me twice in the last year to see how she is, we also saw her mother and the grandmother when we picked her up, then in saying that she asked a few questions of us but after reading many posts on here not enough. Im just so confused I would like to find out as much as possible. :huh:

Lynpate. How do you know or find out about these "Puppy farms" what I mean is if they have show champions in their pedigree how do they come from there to puppy farms. I am not sure if I am asking the right questions on the forum but just trying to find answers. If you dont mind me asking how far down the line is Asquanne, s Glenfiddich in Paddys pedigree. i found lots of info by typing in the prefix names on his ped into google also found a few things in the genetics and breeding posts.
asquannes glenfidich is about five gens back on paddy's ped maybe six i have lost it whilst decorating he has quite a few shch and ftch in his ped but at least three puppyfarm bred dogs too.hth lyn
