Hi Guys
Sebastian was diagnosed with having a thyroid problem a good few years ago now. Went this was first diagnosed I found a website on YahooGroups that specialised in this type of problem along with auto imune etc. It was suggested on this list that it was best to split the soloxine dosage between morning and night which I have been doing for many years now. Had Sebastian castrated in October as he was 9 and things were changing etc and had him reblood tested and titre tested last Saturday. His levels are too low so I need to up his medication but my vet is insistant that I give him the dosage all at once not split because it will help with the tetre testing etc etc. Is this what is happening now ??? Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks Guys

The majority of dogs I know on Soloxine are on a single day dose. No idea if its the right way to do things or not though ;)

Hi Dessie Nell (Lab) was diagnosed with a thyroid problem last year...she was put on a dosage of Soloxine 6mg once a day... there was a problem with her TSH level, so my vet got in touch with a specialist..she is now on 8mg half a tablet twice a day and touch wood.. she seems to be doing okay and is due for another blood test next month.
