;)sorry don't want this to sound disgusting but when i got my pup on thursday from my breeder she told me to give her these puppy buiscuits and peddegree chum puppy food , but she seems to have the runs a bit any advice?

I would get her off the Pedigree Chum asap, it really is cr@p food.
Good quality dry foods are Burns, Arden Grange, James Wellbeloved, CSJ and Autarky. Good quality wet foods are Nature Diet, Nature's Menu or Forthglade.
Some pups can have a runny tummy when they first come home so I wouldn't worry too much but I would definitely get her off the PC ;)

Everythings new and strange. A lot of pups get a little loose for a day or two whilst they are settling in to their new home.
Pedigree Chum puppy food and puppy bicuits :-\ well if thats what the breeder had been feeding her on...... not too sure myself.
Has she been wormed?

We have have a 11 week old pup who has had the runs on and off since coming home - changing her food to JWB and worming seems to have done the trick!

YEAH SHE WAS WORMED BY THE BREEDER LAST WEEK BUT WE TOOK HER TO VETS YESTERDAY FOR A HEALTH CHECK AND THE VET GAVE US SOME MORE TO DO TOMORROW AND THEN ANOTHER IN 2 WEEKS TIME... THE BUISCUITS SHE HAS ARE PURINA BETA PUPPY BUISCUITS WHICH IS WHAT WE WERE GIVEN AND THEN WE JUST BOUGHT HER A MASSIVE BAG OF THEM , ARE THESE NO GOOD EITHER? THE THING IS THOUGH WITH THE PEDDIGREE CHUM MEAT SHE LOVES IT?

Its nothink to do with the food :-\ if the pup was upset whilst at the breeders he/she would have changed it.
She has the runs because she is still prob very nervous everythink is diffrent from where she used to live most puppy's have the runs when they go to there new home dont worry! its very commen!

Teddy and Maisie are both on Purina Beta complete foods. When we got Teddy we really struggled getting him to eat anything. Eventually we got him to eat some of the Beta stuff and he has stuck with it since just going on to the adult version. The wonderful lady in my pet shop said she would never feed her dogs pedigree chum and that frightened me off although the wet food was something Teddy was more inclined to go for.
Maisie has had some runny poos since we got her but not to the point where I've been worried. Your pup is very young and I'm sure her tummy will settle soon :blink:

In the long term though I would get her off the Pedigree, it genuinely is not a good quality food. I don't know much about the Beta, I think it's ok but not the best one you can get. She probably does like the Pedigree, all the additives and meat derivatives in it probably taste pretty good to her just like McDonald's and KFC does to kids ;)
If you are changing her food do it gradually over a period of about a week and she should be fine.

Coco had runny poos on and off for her first few months. Honestly anything can give a young puppy a runny bottom - change of environment, food, eating things they shouldn't in the garden, excitement etc etc. ::) As has been said I would keep her on what she is used to until she is a bit more settled. Then I would try and change her onto a better quality dog food such as Burns, Arden Grange or James Wellbeloved (all dry foods) or Naturediet or Natures Menu if you prefer a wet food. These are all good quality foods with no added nasties. Coco had a mix of Naturediet and Arden Grange until I switched to BARF a few months ago and she was fine. Though now she is on BARF she hasn't looked back ;)
