Title: KCGC GOLD AWARD & BRONZE
Post by: AnnieM on May 25, 2007, 07:59:31 AM
WE PASSED!!!!!  :D  :luv:  :D My girls were fantastic last night, they passed with flying colours and this was after having 4 weeks off the course due to being on season.  :D

Archie also passed his Bonze test last night too,  :D  :D which was amazing as I really didn't think he would do the stay, he is fine at home, but in the class with all the other dogs for distractions, he is not usually so good, but he performed flawlessly when it mattered.

Hi Cazzie, it is a progressive test, from bronze to gold, for the bronze you have to groom/examine the dog, have correct id/pooh bags etc, walk to heel on a loose lead, do a 1 minute stay, recall answer 3 questions and I think that's it, for the gold they have to walk to heel as a group at different paces on a loose lead, recall to handlers side then walk to heel off lead, do a stop on a recall, leave food when held under their nose and told to leave it,  :o send to bed, a 3 minute stay with you out of sight for 30 seconds, the examiner examines the dog and you have to answer 8 questions, but I got 12 because of having two dogs together.  Silver is in between with a cotrolled greeting, food test, control in the car, come away from distractions, recall, etc. and 5 questions.  We have had great fun doing it and the girls have finished now as her post gold class is too far away from us, so they are starting agility on Saturday and Archie will be starting his Silver class mid-June.   :D

Alfie has his bronze and silver GC awards but we've been too busy with his working training to get around to doing the gold. Well done to clever Jade, Amber and Archie though  :luv:
