Does your cocker have an addiction ?Mine do Cassies is carrots and tomatoes to the point of embarassment ~we went to a dogs allowed barbecue and i thought she was quiet she was only in the green house eating the red tomatoes and biting into green ones and spitting them out !!!!carrots!!! it drives us nuts we get up at 6 am and she is straight to fridge and barks till she gets her carrot fix!!!!!Maisies is labels no........ not designer ones !!she nicks all types of clothing goes straight to the care lable and chews it she did it with a teddy of my god daughters the other day and at Mums was running around with her clean knickers and by the time we retrieved them label was off and they had a hole in!!! :005:
Are these addictions/fetishes weird or does anyone elses little darling have them?

Molo has a used tissue fetish ph34r He will raid pockets and handbags for them, and he has got so obsessed now, that he will leap upon anyone who blows their nose and steals the tissue off their nose while it is being used - eugh ph34r ph34r

Socks, balls, plastic bottle tops, and pockets. If I leave my jeans on the floor for a couple of hours the pockets are full of holes. She knows where I keep the treats :lol:
Chicken tikka masala! I ordered food once when she was little, I left it on the table for 2sec and she had eaten half!!!
If she smells chicken tikka somewhere she will do anything for a taste. And I feel guilty for not giving her any, but it's too spicey for a dog :005:
Modified: I forgot cows! Anything that goes mooo and she looses her mind. Cow cuddly toys, cow slippers, cow greeting card (I posted a video). I can say moo now, and she'll start running around looking for a cow. Don't know why, she's never met a cow as far as i know.. :lol:

and a pain to road walk Biba as she scouts for bits of plastic,bottle tops, pen tops anything plastic >:D
and to get to the fields we have to walk past the local paper shop which is a hang out for all the school kids and there rubbish

Balls even if they are not Milly's >:D anything plastic especially bottle tops that she can hide in her mouth till I catch her, tissues and till receipts are her main ones but she is still in puppy stage and likes to put most things in her mouth for a good chew if she gets of with it :shades:

For Tilly it is balls of any description or anything that anyone might conceivably throw for her, she will even go and do her little shuffly backing up and play bowing dance in front of old people with walking sticks on the off chance that they might decide they want to play fetch with it ph34r :005:
For Alfie it always has been and probably always will be birds. We were out on a partridge shoot today and he behaved impeccably though, he was a little star :angel: :luv:

Macy is obsessed with the hedge outside at the moment! Only because there's birds nesting, if i let her out in the garden she runs to the hedge and sits there and stares!
Also the usual, used tissues, socks, anything that i drop on the floor, it then becomes hers!

Ozzy isn't really addicted to anything as such but he will steal socks given the opportunity, as do the goldens. I guess it runs in the 'family'. ph34r

Ben steals the usual food packaging, socks and teatowels but his favourite is washing up sponges! He nicks the sponge thing with the scouring side and the sponge wipes with great excitement :D
I can persuade him to give back shoes and towels etc but not the washing up stuff ::)

Fred is obessed with my roll of sticky address labels... he chews them while unravelling them around the room! I get through at least one roll a week as my stationery draw is just in reach if he stands on his tip toes...

And now - Dishcloths - she gobbled, down whole, a vileada washing up cloth (large & thick) on Tuesday, and by friday she still hadn't returned it >:( so my nerves got the better of me and I took her to the vets, one injection (& £89 :o ) later and Millie kindly gave it back. I think even the vet was shocked at the size of it as she said 'gosh thats bigger than I was expecting'.
Ho Hum, another thing for the 'Keep out of Millies reach at all times' list.

Bella's was socks and knickers (usually dirty >:D) - until i read about other sock eating cocker's, we now have a new laundry basket and promptly move anythin thats in Bella reach.
Bella's a 'label' muncher too.
Strawberries - she ate all mine from the garden. Goes mad when she gets a smell of them - sits by the fridge waiting for one, went to the veg shop at weekend she was going mad trying to get to them, much to the amusement of everyone in the shop.

Everything ph34r Nothing is safe but Kali goes potty for pizza. We have never given her any but it is the only thing we eat that she has to be put in her crate for because she won't stop jumping up to get it ::)

bailey loves clothing labels and is forever going through the washing! He doesnt chew them though he just sucks them. Has an especially wierd fetish for the labels in his dads boxers, and not the ones from the clean washing! ph34r :005:

Lottie pulls my socks off while I'm still wearing them. ::) She is also obsessed with plastic carrier bags, as to try and bomb proof her as a young pup, I would rattle them at her - however, she now jumps up on passers by carrying their shopping!! She also gets fixated on pigeons and stops dead in the street to stare them out. Oh and swimming and sticks. Her favourite thing in the world is to find and destroy any stick I've thrown in the undergrowth or river. Her tail and back end wags at full throttle when in 'seek and destroy' mode!! :005:

Hurley loves these yellow squeaky balls you can get from Wilkinsons. Tennis balls will not do ::) - he will spit them out and try and find his squeaky. I have about 8 in total and doG forbid they ever stop making them.
he is also developing an obsession with loo rolls and despite not being allowed upstairs the loo roll still manages to find its way downstairs and magically destroys itself :005:

Oh i'd forgotten that one. I actually caught the gleeful pounce when he spotted one recently. ::) He stole (and shredded) a full one a couple of weeks ago! >:(

Tissues - left a box on the kitchen table and left a chair out - result - box of ripped up tissues all over the floor.
Socks - we have a collection of odd ones as they seem to have a secret stash somewhere

Fabulous fetishes/addictions forgot Cassies swimming one .......we walk near water she swims once she did it around a loch in Scotland and i swear it was 2 miles the whole way round !!!!!!and other dogs toys if Maisie has got her piggy she barks and barks till i give her it she is such a kill joy but we love her for her faults but sometimes she makes us >:(

Harry has several fetishes/addications:
1. Frisbees: he stands staring at the fridge because the frisbees live on top
2. My bras & pants - worn only, are often found on the landing or stairs, or in the garden.
3. Pens - no pen must go unchewed
4. DentiStix - at no other time is he so well behaved as when I have a DentiSik in hand.
5. Flashing red ball - that also makes siren an crashing noises - it will keep him entertained for hours!
We have a very special spaniel.

Tia absolutely adores cheese and tuna so when I make a tuna and pasta bake I have a very willing 'helper' ! ;)
She is also addicted to socks and OH has to run the gauntlet every morning to try and put his socks on before being stolen, and come wash day no matter how careful you are how come there is always 1 sock 'missing' ! ::)

baked potatoes (this is a new one, she adores the smell of baking potatoes)

poo bags (especially if pinched from OH's back pocket)

Winnie's main fetish is food, food and more food.
She particluarly loves cucumber, and in the summer at a 'Pimms and picnic' she went around all the disgarded Pimms cups seeking out the cucumber slices :lol:
Her 'comfort blanket' is her lead....well, any lead... we have a selection. They get carried around the house (she has to find one every time she is excited) and one goes to bed with her every night. When she is bored she chews it. At dog training a couple of weeks ago she embarrassed me by chewing right through her lead - so I had to put a knot in it :005: I now have a chain lead, and take the knotted one along for her to play with.
Also, I cannot leave any papers on the floor - she immediately curls up to sleep on them! I once found that she had taken a customer's order off the table, and gone to bed with it - luckily it was just crinkled so I didn't have to ask them for a replacement ;) Magazines etc. all become temporary beds.

Ha Ha - this is exactly what I was going to say about Cosby. Obviously he is obsessed with all food (and I mean scariliy obsessed), but used tissues are the obvious wierd thing that stands out. You cannot leave them anywhere as he will steal them and eat them. He goes through your pockets and can sniff them out at within a 10 mile radius :lol: It does make blowing your nose very difficult - you have to do it standing up or he steals the tissue while you're doing it

Coco is anything he can get his sticky mitts on, since Saturday alone I have lost 5 tea towels (chewed), two dusters(shredded) , open mitt(un-usable had to through them away) , he chewed up a black kong.
When I opened th tumble dryer he stuck his head in the drum and fished out one of the eco drying balls, I did managed to get that back.
And I'm only up to Tuesday, what more does the week hold for me, but thank goodness he doesn't do major damage, I believe Coco was put on this earth to torment me :005: but he's a the lovable rouge...

And last night Rio and I were scooping out pumpkins for halloween and Rio being only 10 kept dropping bits of pumpkin all over the floor and Ella being Ella, was hoovering them all up, raw. When I was cleaning up the mess she was 'telling me off barking' for not leaving them on the floor for her to eat up. :blink:
My cats love the toilet tissue shredding trick, its often draped and shredded all across landing and down the stairs and one or the other of them sits there looking sheepish.

I think your right on that.
I read somewhere that certain fruit was not to be given to dogs, can not remember where I read it though.
That is why the fruit basket is out of reach now.
She was growing almost obsessed by them, red in particular so stopped getting them in for awhile and started the pate on a kong thing, now when I get them I keep them out of sight!

good thinking. Have to keep things out of baileys reach too. Left a chicken to cool on the kitchen table last week forgetting how good at jumping he is................................. >:D Lets just say we had a vegetarian meal that night! luckily i got to him before he discovered the bones! :005:

Obsessed with tennis balls to the extent that we have to hide them. If she gets one she tries to bury it usually under the sofa cushions and then she digs it up again...then she buries it..then she digs it up.. get the idea >:D There's only so much of this the cushions will stand!
She finds tennis balls that other dogs have lost and carries them home triumphantly then gets really upset when I have to take them away.
Other than that it's water. We live in an area that flooded very badly this year. All her favourite walks were under water...she didn't see this as a problem but if she thought I was going up to my neck in flood water so she could swim everywhere she was wrong, very, very wrong!

Feathers..........Bobby always smuggles in a new long wing feather from pigeons or magpies. He holds it in his paws and chews for ages. Woe betide anyone who tries to remove it without decent bribes. He caught a bluetit at 12weeks old and lay holding it between his paws completely entranced. He occasionally pounces one of our pet chickens when I'm careless, and sits on top of them licking their feathers.

I dont know if any other cocker has this obsession but orin is OBSESSED with the hoover, but only with the end off so there is only the hose on and the little nozzle bit for going round the edges. he loves puting his nose on it so it sucks his tongue or cheeks or ears or any other part of him.
he also loves tennis balls, dirty knickers and sock and pants and food which he might get. srunchies and horse muck. while mucking out it is a battle to see who can get the poo first him or me, if it is him he eats it- them wants to lick your face.
