Title: Dr Johns
Post by: noelleybelley on January 19, 2008, 09:39:42 AM
Hi everyone, I've had a quick serch for Dr Johns on here but can't find anything.

Someone has said cockers do well on it, but it's very cheap!  What are your opinions on it, please?

Any advice welcome!  ;)

Just had a quick look at the Gilpa site.  It isn't one I would choose for my girls I am afraid :-\

There's a reason it's cheap & that's the quality of the ingredients. Cheap brands of dog food often contain high quantities of cereal fillers and little in the way of premium quality meat. If you're looking for a "cheaper" food but one with good quality ingredients and no artificial preservatives, then Autarky might fit the bill as it gets good reviews generally.

No, I wasn't looking at all.  Someone I met on a walk just recommended I put them on it - not sure why!! - because they're cockers.  They have a variety of dried foods, depending on where I go shopping, and seem to do fine.
 I was reading the forum about giving raw eggs to your dogs, so I just did.  One of them, (Many Tears rescue), woofed it down, but Charlie, (more picky), carried it to the patio and put it down carefully, then sat looking at it as if to say "what do I do with it?"  :luv:
